Emad A. Hassan
Minister of Tourism
Emad Hassan is currently an energy advisor to the Minister of Tourism in Egypt, providing support and guidance on policies and market initiatives aimed at green transformation. He has previously served as an advisor to Egypt’s ‘Supreme Energy Council’.
He has 30 years of global experience in the energy efficiency and clean energy fields, half of which in the U.S. and the other half in Egypt and Jordan. He provided consultancy and project management services to a variety of international development organizations such as USAID, UNDP, World Bank, EBRD and GIZ in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. His professional experience spanned over a wide spectrum of energy domains including strategy development, policy analysis, market development programs, financing mechanism, capacity building, and climate change mitigation.
